Outdoor Adventure Girls big weekends are designed to give you the time to reconnect with yourself, get outdoors in nature and connect with other women. We now host OAG retreats all over the UK throughout the year, this being our eighth weekend away, with more to come in 2023. 



OVERVIEW

Outdoor Adventure Girls – Cornwall

DATE: 13 – 17 September 2023 (4 nights, 5 days)

LOCATION: Treyarnon, Cornwall

ACCOMMODATION: YHA Treyarnon Bay

PRICE: £400 per person

THE LOCATION

Cornwall is a county on England’s rugged southwestern tip. It forms a peninsula encompassing wild moorland and hundreds of sandy beaches, culminating at the promontory Land’s End.

The south coast, dubbed the Cornish Riviera, is home to picturesque harbour villages such as Fowey and Falmouth. The north coast is lined with towering cliffs and seaside resorts like Newquay, known for surfing.

THE SCHEDULE

Please note that this is subject to change, but it will give you an idea of what to expect.

An itinerary will be sent to all booked guests one month before the event, with all details needed to attend the weekend. There is also a WhatsApp chat for all attendees to plan car sharing and chatting before. 

Wednesday 13 September

4pm onwards: Check in to YHA Treyarnon Bay

And then meet your dorm mates and grab a drink in the sunshine

7pm: Welcome from OAG

7:30pm: Welcome dinner

8.30pm: Empowerment workshop with Sophie 

Thursday 14 September

8.30am:  Breakfast at YHA Treyarnon Bay

9am: Meet in reception

10am: SURF LESSON #1

1pm: Lunch on the beach

2pm-5pm: Afternoon HIKE along South West coastal walk to Bedruthan Steps (approx. 10km)

5pm: Free time

7.30pm: Dinner

Friday 15 September

8.30am:  Breakfast at YHA Treyarnon Bay

9am: Meet in reception

10am: SURF LESSON #2

1pm: Lunch at local café or back at YHA

2pm – 5pm: Body movement class with Eloise at FAWE 

5pm: Free time

7.30pm: Dinner

Saturday 16 September

8.30am:  Breakfast at YHA Treyarnon Bay

9am: Meet in reception

10am: SURF LESSON #3

1pm: Lunch back at YHA

2pm – 4pm: Relax on the beach or go swimming at Treyarnon Rock Pool

4-5pm: Beach clean up with Dip&Clean

5pm: Free time

7.30pm: Dinner

Sunday 17 September

8.30am:  Breakfast at YHA Treyarnon Bay

9.30am: Check out 

10am: Head to Padstow for a wander and lunch in the town

1pm: DEPART

THE ACCOMMODATION

Our accommodation for the weekend is the stunning YHA Treyarnon Bay on the north coast of Cornwall, close to Padstow. We will be in 4-bed and 6-bed dorms, exclusive to our group.

NOTE: There is limited car parking at this hostel.

  • 3 x surf lessons with local surf school at Harlyn Bay
  • 1 x body movement and yoga class with Eloise at FAWE
  • 1 x group wander in Padstow
  • 1 x afternoon on the beach with swimming at Treyarnon Rock Pool
  • 1 x 10 km sunset hike along the South Coast coastal walk to Bedruthan Steps
  • 1 x beach clean with Dip&Clean

WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED

  • Travel to and from the weekend
  • Lunches are not included – we would suggest you bring packed lunches for surf days to eat on the beach or back at YHA
  • Extra food and drink whilst outside of the weekend plans
