THE TOUR
Since 2023, Outdoor Adventure Girls has been offering bespoke travel tours for their 40,000 members. The international trips will focus on outdoor adventure, pushing guests out of their comfort zone and creating incredible connections with other women in the most sought-after bucket list destinations on Earth.
For this dual-country OAG Overseas tour, we are heading to the amazing South Africa and Zimbabwe. This magical area is home to the famous Kruger National Park, as well as a visit to the Black Mambas, the world’s first all-female anti-poaching unit, and crossing the border into Zimbabwe and visiting the iconic Victoria Falls. The trip includes a jam-packed 11 days of adventure with stops at all of the most amazing places to see in this magical country. Day 1 – Johannesburg
Welcome to South Africa. On arrival at OR Tambo Airport, you will be met and transferred to the hotel.

Day 2 – Kruger National Park
This morning we depart for the community and TIF project with Black Mambas.
The Black Mambas are the world’s first all-female anti-poaching unit. They are 36 young African women who patrol 20,000 hectares of the Balule Nature Reserve, part of the Greater Kruger National Park, South Africa. Kruger is home to the largest population of rhinos in the world and also is a victim to more poaching attacks than any other area.

Day 3 – Kruger National Park
Rise early for a morning game drive through Kruger National Park in the overland vehicle. Later on, take a night drive with the park guide for a chance to spot nocturnal animals and perhaps even a nighttime predator or two – catch a lion or hyena out hunting, or an impala out in search of a late-night feed.

Day 4 – Kruger National Park
Today we explore the park again for more wildlife spotting and another drive through Kruger National Park in the overland vehicle.

Day 5 – Goo-Moremi Gorge
This morning we cross the border and travel towards Goo Moremi Gorge. At Goo Moremi Gorge, enjoy a guided hike through this beautiful heritage site, we’ll stop at beautiful waterfalls cascading into deep pools surrounded by lush vegetation.

Day 6 – Nata – Makgadikgadi Salt Pans
Journey from Palapye to Nata to our campsite on the edge of the amazing Makgadikgadi Salt Pans, covering some 12,000 square kilometres, this is one of the largest salt flats in the world.

Day 7- Vic Falls
Travel on to Victoria Falls, crossing the border into Zimbabwe in time to have lunch on the banks of the Zambezi, before heading on to Victoria Falls.

Day 8 – Victoria Falls
You have the morning to sleep in or explore the local area. Then in the late afternoon, we depart on a sunset Cruise along the Zambezi River.

Day 9 – Victoria Falls to Chobe
This morning, meet our local guide in the reception area of our hotel for our guided tour of the falls. You will explore this most awe-inspiring one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, Victoria Falls.
Spanning about a mile wide and falling 108 metres into a narrow gorge below, the spray from the falls can sometimes be seen from kilometres away.

Day 10 – Chobe
Today is a full day for experiencing the wilds of Chobe National Park, keeping an eye and an ear out for trumpeting elephants, chuckling baboons, roaring lions and many other exciting animals. Begin the day with a morning game drive to see these beasts at their most active, followed by a bit of downtime at the lodge when the sun burns at its hottest. Once the sun cools down, jump on board a boat and travel towards the Chobe River. Animals will likely be cooling down at the banks, playing and drinking in these less intense conditions.

Day 11 – Victoria Falls
Today our tour comes to an end. At the appropriate time, you will be transferred to the airport for your international flight.

ACCOMMODATION
Our accommodation for the trip will be an array of 3* and 4* hotels. We have carefully chosen the accommodation to maximise your experience on this bucket list trip.
*You will be sharing a room with another guest, in a room with twin beds, with an ensuite. Rooms will be allocated randomly, unless specified otherwise.
PRICE
£2,999 per person including all as stated above and must be booked via Intrepid Travel.
To secure your place on this tour, the deposit is £200 per person. The remaining balance can be paid in full or can be paid in installments – you can speak to Intrepid about a payment plan.

*There will be one transfer per trip for arrival and one for departure. Attendees will be recommended a flight, but if you book alternative flights, transfers will not be provided and will be at the cost of the guest.
INSURANCE
It is the attendee’s responsibility to have the appropriate travel insurance for this trip. It is compulsory for all guests to have travel insurance. Please let us know if you have appropriate travel insurance before the trip.
FLIGHTS
Flights are not included as we wanted to give you the option of where to fly when and where you want. As a guide, there are flights to South Africa from London from around £800 for direct flights.
However, if you want help booking flights, Intrepid Travel is on hand to help you throughout the booking process and can book flights for you if required.
