Accommodation

Our accommodation for the weekend is at Edinburgh Central. The accommodation offers stylish, affordable accommodation in the heart of the the city. Our accommodation for the trip will be in 3-bed and 6-bed dorms, exclusive to our group. If you’re booking with a friend let us know and we’ll make sure you get a room together. 

NOTE: There is no car parking at this hostel.

Food

Our meals for the weekend will be prepared on-site at our accommodation for breakfast and dinner. Saturday lunch is not included, as we will be out and about. Please bring something to eat for Saturday lunch, or look at local spots to grab something.

  • Check in to our accommodation and meet your room mates

Saturday

  • Breakfast at our accommodation

  • Explore the famous Edinburgh Christmas Markets
  • Group visit to the iconic Edinburgh Light Show at the Botanical Gardens
  • Dinner at our accommodation
  • Evening games night and quiz with the group

Sunday

  • Breakfast at our accommodation
  • Check out from our accommodation
  • Sunday morning guided group hike up to Arthur’s Seat to get out bodies moving
  • Sunday Roast at a local spot to end our weekend together (with all the trimmings ofc)
  • Free time to explore on your own or visit a local attraction

Getting here

The venue for our weekend is the city of Edinburgh. The nearest station is Edinburgh Waverley if travelling by train. You can coordinate car-sharing in the trip WhatsApp group.

✕ Any additional meals or drinks not stated above (note: Saturday lunch is not included as we will be out – please bring a packed lunch with you, and you can store it in the YHA fridges overnight or nip to the coop down the road)

FAQs

What kit do I need?

  • Hiking/outdoor clothing including trail running shoes or hiking boots
  • A towel and any cosmetics and toiletries
  • Waterproof jacket, plus hat
  • Fleece or warm jumper
  • Small daypack for hiking and/or when out and about
  • Water bottle and snacks

INSURANCE

It is the attendee’s responsibility to have the appropriate travel insurance for this trip. Please let us know if you have appropriate travel insurance before the trip. This will protect you in and run up to the trip in case you fall ill, or are injured and are then unable to make the event.
