What is Outdoor Adventure Girls
Outdoor Adventure Girls Ltd is a UK-based support group that provides a safe space to encourage women to get outdoors, and push themselves outside their comfort zone, as well as connecting women together in their local area. The group now has over 10,000+ women across the UK on their main Facebook group and another 11 regional groups for women who want to meet others within their area. The group is founded by Sophie Davis, owner of Sophie’s Suitcase is an award-winning adventure, wellbeing and lifestyle blog.
Why become a writer for Outdoor Adventure Girls?
We are currently looking for blog submissions, so we can create a resource for all of our members. It will be filled with destination guides, travel stories, kit reviews, activity advice and much more.
All blogs will include a link to your own website or blog, and one of your social media profiles in your author bio.
We are looking for blog content on topics such as:
- Beginners guides: hiking, climbing, camping, wild swimming, backpacking, SUP
- Outdoor clothing reviews e.g. best wild swimming costumes, best hiking boots
- Wellbeing and nutrition tips
- Travel guides: top places to visit if you love hiking, the best beaches in the South east
- Solo travel: how to be safe and have fun
Guidelines
We are looking for bloggers who reflect our core values for our community, coming from a place of inclusivity, honesty and loyalty.
Bloggers must have a creative flair and a passion for the outdoors who can create interesting, informative, engaging and shareable community content. Blog posts should be accompanied by your own photography, the community’s imagery or photos that are appropriately sourced and credited. Blog posts must be exclusive to OAG, and cannot be published anywhere else.
- Topic: It must fit within our values, and come under an area of outdoor adventure
- Length: Please submit blog posts with a minimum of 1,200 words and maximum of 2,500 words
- Sources: When referencing other sites, please include the URL of the website
- Imagery: Submit images with a high-resolution, those that you own and title them appropriately e.g. Belize-Blue-Hole
