Friday
- Arrive at Kettlewell
- Stroll around the picturesque village and admire its stone cottages
- Check in to your accommodation and take some time to relax
- Welcome and introduction with your OAG host
- Ice-breaker session with your OAG host
- Dinner
Saturday
- Breakfast
- Drive to Malham (30 minutes – group car share)
- Spend the morning hiking this incredible area of the Dales (5 hours/12km)
- Malham Cove: A stunning limestone amphitheater with a panoramic view from the top. You might recognize it from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
- Gordale Scar: A dramatic gorge; if you’re feeling adventurous, scramble up the waterfall.
- Janet’s Foss: A magical woodland waterfall.
- Malham Tarn: A serene glacial lake
- Return to Kettlewell (30 minutes – group car share)
- Pre-dinner paint and sip workshop (supplies provided)
- Free time to relax

Accommodation
The multi-award winning Kettlewell Hostel is super friendly with hearty homemade food and great social areas. It is perfect for families, individuals and groups alike. With a range of private rooms or great value dorm beds, it is a wonderful base for exploring the Yorkshire Dales.
The Kettlewell Hostel has been part of the YHA network for over 75 years and is an absolute gem! Set in a charming Yorkshire Dales village with plenty of great walks, friendly pubs, stunning views and some world-class cycling routes close by, it is a real home from home, just perfect for an active break.
Our accommodation for the trip will be in 4-bed and 6-bed dorms, exclusive to our group. If you’re booking with a friend let us know and we’ll make sure you get a room together.
NOTE: There is car parking at this accommodation, but if you can car share with someone please do. We love our planet!
Food
Our meals for the weekend will be prepared on-site at our accommodation, for breakfast and dinner. Saturday lunch is not included, as we will be out all day, so please bring something to eat for Saturday lunch, such as a packed lunch.

INSURANCE
It is the attendee’s responsibility to have the appropriate travel insurance for this trip. Please let us know if you have appropriate travel insurance before the trip. This will protect you in and run up to the trip in case you fall ill, or are injured and are then unable to make the event.
