We are off to Bath for our Outdoor Adventure Girls weekend in December 2022.
Outdoor Adventure Girls big weekends are designed to give you the time to reconnect with yourself, get outdoors in nature and connect with other women. We now host OAG retreats all over the UK throughout the year, this being our eighth weekend away, with more to come in 2023.

THE LOCATION
Bath is the largest city in the county of Somerset, England, known for and named after its Roman-built baths. Bath has been a wellbeing destination since Roman times with both the ancient Roman Baths and the thoroughly modern Thermae Bath Spa, which houses the only natural thermal hot springs in Britain you can bathe in.
Bath’s compact, visitor-friendly centre is overflowing with places to eat and drink, plus some of the finest independent shops in Britain, making it the ideal city break. Immerse yourself in Bath’s remarkable collection of museums and galleries, and enjoy year-round festivals, theatre, music and sports.

An itinerary will be sent to all booked guests one month before the event, with all details needed to attend the weekend.
There is also a WhatsApp chat for all attendees to plan car sharing and chatting before.

Friday 2 December
5pm onwards: CHECK IN to YHA Bath
+ meet your fellow OAG guests and grab a drink from the bar inside the hostel
6pm: Welcome from OAG with ice-breaker
7:30pm: Welcome dinner at YHA Bath
8.00pm: Empowerment session with Sophie

Saturday 3 December
8.30am: Breakfast at YHA Bath
10am: Christmas wreath making workshop
You will be guided by workshop host Jess on how to make your own Christmas wreath. First we will head out to collect our foliage, before returning to make our wreaths. All wreath making supplies included, PLUS festive tunes!
2pm – 7pm: Bath Christmas Markets
Step back in time and discover the wonderful world of Christmas in Bath. It’s a place where the scent of Christmas dances through the air, traditional artisan makers line the streets, and festive cheer lies on every corner. We will grab some mulled wine, wander around the market and get some festive treats throughout the day!
7.30pm: Dinner at YHA Bath
8.30pm: FREE time (hang out at the hostel with friends, or head back out to the Christmas markets)

Sunday 4 December
8.00am: Breakfast at YHA Bath
9.00am: Check out
10am: Bath Skyline circular walk (10km – approx. 3-4 hours)
Admire the skyline hills above Bath and beyond via this amazing circular walk through meadows and ancient woodlands.
1pm: Lunch at a local restaurant
3pm: DEPART
THE ACCOMMODATION
Our accommodation for the weekend is the stunning YHA Bath. With large private gardens, YHA Bath is set in a stunning Italian-style mansion, 10 minutes’ walk from Bath city centre. It offers affordable accommodation, laundry facilities and a restaurant.
Each morning hearty cooked breakfasts are served in the dining areas, which also offers home-cooked meals in the evenings. The TV lounge has lovely garden views, comfortable sofas and a TV. The bar serves a variety of drinks including local ales, and Wi-Fi access is available in public areas of the property.
Our accommodation for the trip will be in 4-bed and 6-bed dorms, exclusive to our group.
NOTE: There is NO car parking at this hostel, you will need to arrange car parking yourself, or we suggest travelling to Bath via public transport.

Travel to and from the weekend
Saturday lunch is not included as we will be out and about – we will be able to grab lunch as we are exploring the Christmas markets.
