THE TOUR

Since 2023, Outdoor Adventure Girls has been offering bespoke travel tours for their 40,000 members. The international trips will focus on outdoor adventure, pushing guests out of their comfort zone and creating incredible connections with other women in the most sought-after bucket list destinations on Earth.

For this OAG Overseas tour, we are heading to the amazing country of Sri Lanka. It is home to the famous Sigiriya Rock, beautiful beaches and a chance to go on the iconic train journey from Kandy to Bandarawela.

The trip includes a jam-packed 13 days of adventure with stops at all of the most amazing places to see in this magical country. All of this and more is why we are so excited to take you here in 2025.

Day 1: Arrival → Int. Airport – Negombo

Welcome to Sri Lanka!

Included activities:

  • An arrival transfer based on the recommended arrival flights
  • Welcome dinner at a local restaurant

Accommodation: Earls Regent, Negombo or similar

Day 2: Negombo – Dambulla

Included activities

  • Early morning visit to the Negombo Fish Market
  • Visit Thimble Handicraft, a handicraft project empowered by women in the village of Thalahena
  • Transport to and from included activities

Accommodation: Sigiriana Resort by Thilanka or similar

Day 3: Dambulla – Sigiriya – Dambulla

Included activities

  • Morning climb the Sigiriya Rock Fortress
  • Afternoon visit to the Dambulla Heartbeat Women Empowerment Center
  • Cooking demonstration followed by Sri Lankan lunch
  • Transport to and from included activities

Day 4: Dambulla – Matale – Kandy

Included activities

  • Dambulla Cave Temple Visit
  • Sudu Ganga Trek with lunch in Matale
  • Visit the Kandy Temple of Tooth
  • Transport to and from included activities

Day 5: Kandy

Included activities

  • Lunch at Hela Bojun – Kandy
  • Kandy Private Cultural Dance Performance

Day 6: Kandy – Bandarawela

  • Scenic Train Journey: Kandy to Bandarawela
  • Cooking Demonstration followed by a traditional dinner

Day 7: Bandarawela

  • Guided group hike to the stunning Upper Diyaluma Falls
  • Transport to and from included activities

Day 8: Bandarawela – Yala (Tissamaharama)

Included activities

  • Half-day Wildlife Jeep Safari at the famous Yala National Park (afternoon)
  • Transport to and from included activities

Accommodation: Kithala Resort Tissa-Yala or similar

Day 9: Yala (Tissamaharama) – Tangalle

Included activities

  • Curd and treacle-tasting experience
  • Visit Rekawa Turtle Conservation Project and join Rekawa Turtle Watch
  • Transport to and from included activities

Accommodation: Sooriya Resort & Spa, Tangalle or similar

Day 10: Tangalle

Included activities

  • Explore the preserved colonial township of Galle with a Dutch Fort Walking Tour
  • Transport to and from included activities

Full Day at leisure!

Day 12: Tangalle – Colombo

  • Bid farewell to Galle and make your way to Colombo

Day 13: Colombo – Int. Airport (Departure)

Today marks the end of your adventure.
Departure Transfer Included – on a group basis.

ACCOMMODATION

Our accommodation will be an array of hotels carefully curated for this trip. We have carefully chosen the accommodation to maximise your experience on this bucket list trip.

*You will be sharing a room with another guest, in a room with twin beds, with an ensuite. Rooms will be allocated randomly, unless specified otherwise.

PRICE

£1,799 per person including all as stated above and must be booked via Intrepid Travel.

INSURANCE

It is the attendee’s responsibility to have the appropriate travel insurance for this trip. It is compulsory for all guests to have travel insurance. Please let us know you have appropriate travel insurance before the trip.

FLIGHTS

Flights are not included as we wanted to give you the option of where to fly when and where you want. If you would like help booking flights, Intrepid Travel is on hand to help you throughout the booking process and can book flights for you if required.

There will be one transfer per trip for arrival and one for departure. Attendees will be recommended a flight, but if you book alternative flights, transfers will not be provided and will be at the cost of the guest.
