THE TOUR
Since 2023, Outdoor Adventure Girls has been offering bespoke travel tours for their 40,000 members. The international trips will focus on outdoor adventure, pushing guests out of their comfort zone and creating incredible connections with other women in the most sought-after bucket list destinations on Earth.
For this OAG Overseas tour, we are heading to the amazing country of Jordan. This magical country is home to wonder of the world, Petra, as well as the stunning Wadi Rum desert, and the surrounding area of the Dead Sea. The trip includes a jam-packed 5 days of adventure with stops at all of the most amazing places to see in this magical country. All of this and more is why we are so excited to take you here in 2024.

ITINERARY

Day 1 – Amman
Ahlan Wa Sahlan! Welcome to Amman, a cosmopolitan city steeped in biblical history. On arrival at Queen Alia International Airport, you will be met by an Intrepid representative and transferred to your hotel.
Note: Flights from the UK arrive quite late, so you can get straight to bed and your leader will meet you in the morning to welcome you to Jordan!

Day 2 – Amman/Petra
After a welcome meeting after breakfast, you will depart Amman for Petra. Today you’ll traverse the King’s Highway and the Dead Sea. Pack your swim gear as next you can wash off the dust in the Dead Sea – the lowest point on Earth (420 metres below sea level).
On arrival, settle into your hotel and check out the village before enjoying an included dinner at your hotel, and afterwards head in to experience Petra by Night, getting your first look at this incredible site by candlelight.

Day 3 – Petra
Petra is justifiably on most people’s list of ‘must-visit’ places. The iconic Petra view – the Treasury’s glorious facade, glimpsed from the narrow cleft known as the Siq – is arguably the single most striking sight of the entire region.

Day 4 – Little Petra/Wadi Rum
This morning you will transfer to Little Petra. Believed by archaeologists to have housed visiting traders on the Silk Road, Little Petra is every bit as fascinating as its larger counterpart (just a lot quieter!). Afterwards, you will continue to Wadi Rum, where you will start with a guided tour by 4×4 vehicle with your camp hosts. You’ll see the amazing sights and landscapes of Wadi Rum, such as the famous Seven Pillars of Wisdom, sand dunes and rock bridges.

- Join an afternoon Wadi Rum 4×4 Jeep Safari
- Meet local Bedouin women and learn the ancient art of henna
- Sleep under the stars at a Bedouin camp

Accommodation: Moon City Camp or similar
Day 5 – Wadi Rum/Amman
After waking up in the unique surroundings of the Bedouin camp, enjoy a trek around the area, taking in ancient water collection systems, Thamudic inscriptions and many unique rock formations. You’ll be joined by a local guide and a support vehicle, and there will be stops for tea and lunch. After returning, you will depart your camp and return to Amman where you will enjoy a final dinner together.

Day 6 – Amman
Your tour ends today. You will be transferred as a group back to the airport in time for the recommended flight. Depending on the time of the group flights back to the UK, we could arrange a lunch in Amman, before everyone departs.

ACCOMMODATION
Our accommodation for the trip will be an array of 3* and 4* hotels. We have carefully chosen the accommodation to maximise your experience on this bucket list trip.
*You will be sharing a room with another guest, in a room with twin beds, with an ensuite. Rooms will be allocated randomly, unless specified otherwise.
PRICE
£1,499 per person including all as stated above and must be booked via Intrepid Travel.
To secure your place on this tour, the deposit is £200 per person. The remaining balance can be paid in full or can be paid in installments – you can speak to Intrepid about a payment plan.

*There will be one transfer per trip for arrival and one for departure. Attendees will be recommended a flight, but if you book alternative flights, transfers will not be provided and will be at the cost of the guest.
INSURANCE
It is the attendee’s responsibility to have the appropriate travel insurance for this trip. It is compulsory for all guests to have travel insurance. Please let us know if you have appropriate travel insurance before the trip.
FLIGHTS
Flights are not included as we wanted to give you the option of where to fly when and where you want. As a guide, there are flights to Jordan from London from around £200 for direct flights.
However, if you want help booking flights, Intrepid Travel is on hand to help you throughout the booking process and can book flights for you if required.
