Join OAG Overseas in 2026 for an unforgettable journey through India’s most iconic sights and experiences. Perfect for first-time visitors, this tour includes ticking off another Wonder of the World—the Taj Mahal—along with a morning yoga session overlooking this stunning monument. Celebrate the vibrant festival of Holi with lunch and immerse yourself in the rich culture with visits to Jama Masjid, Delhi’s oldest mosque, and Sheeshgank Gurudwara Sikh Temple to learn about Sikhism. Explore the bustling streets of Old Delhi on foot and by rickshaw, and wander through Asia’s largest spice market, Khari Baoli. Enjoy thrilling safaris in Ranthambore National Park, discover the beautiful Panna Meena Stepwell and Amber Fort in Jaipur, and experience a Bollywood film night at the iconic Raj Mandir cinema. Important: Please note the above route may not be exactly the same route we will follow, but we wanted to give a visual picture of our journey. We have upgraded our tour to include a flight between Delhi and Jaisalmer instead of a long train journey.

Day 1: Delhi

Welcome to India! Your adventure begins in Delhi, where you will be collected from the airport and transferred to our hotel. Delhi is the gateway to the rich alluvial soils of the Ganges plain and has, according to Indian folklore, been  occupied since 2500 BC.

Later in the evening, enjoy a delicious welcome dinner at a local restaurant. Tonight, your leader will introduce you to the exciting world of Indian cuisine. Perhaps start out with some classic dishes like mutton rogan josh and paneer tikka.

Day 2: Delhi

Today you’ll embark on a sightseeing tour around Old Delhi. Enjoying a Cylce Rickshaw Ride, a visit to the Jama Masjid as well as a traditional Thali lunch with your group before a free evening to wander the city as you wish

Day 3: Delhi – Agra

From Delhi, journey to the historic city of Agra, set on the banks of the Yamuna River. Once the Mughal capital, Agra flourished under emperors Akbar, Jehangir, and Shah Jahan, each leaving behind grand architectural legacies. Visit Sheroes Hangout, a heartwarming café run by acid attack survivors, before exploring the imposing Agra Fort—home to elegant halls, palaces, and the serene white marble Mina Masjid.

Day 4: Agra – Ranthambhore

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Begin your day with a peaceful yoga session overlooking the Taj Mahal, then visit this iconic monument of love. Built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal, the white marble mausoleum took 22 years to complete and stands as one of the most breathtaking symbols of devotion in the world.

Then, transfer to Ranthambore National Park (approximately 5.5 hours’ drive) to check-in for the night.

Day 5: Ranthambhore

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Head out on morning and evening safaris in Ranthambore National Park, once the hunting grounds of Rajasthan’s maharajas. Set against the backdrop of a 1,000-year-old fort, the park is home to tigers, sambar deer, leopards, crocodiles, and a rich variety of birdlife, making it one of India’s premier wildlife destinations.

Day 6: Ranthambhore – Jaipur

Meals Included: Breakfast

Travel from Ranthambore to Jaipur, stopping en route to explore a rural village and its sacred temples. Known as the Pink City, Jaipur was founded in 1727 and designed according to ancient Vastu principles. On arrival, enjoy a walking tour through bustling markets, then experience Indian cinema culture with a Bollywood film screening at the iconic Raj Mandir Cinema.

Day 7: Jaipur

Meals Included: Breakfast & Dinner

Begin the day at Panna Meena Kund, a beautiful stepwell once used for gathering rainwater and social rituals. Then explore the majestic Amber Fort, perched high above the old town and known for its grand gates, courtyards, and stunning views. In the evening, join a local family for a cooking class and enjoy a homemade Rajasthani dinner.

Day 8: Jaipur – Holi Festival

Today get ready for an exhilarating Holi celebration at the property where you are staying. Join the carnival of colours and immerse yourself in the festivities, armed with colours, water guns, and balloons filled with coloured water. Engage in playful water fights and douse your friends with hues of joy.

Initially, indulge in a milder version of Holi, exchanging colours with family and friends, offering sweets, and blowing colours into the air as a gesture of goodwill.

But let’s not keep it all tame with our friends. This is a spirited and colourful battle, filled with love and camaraderie. Your leader will divide you into teams, equip you with water balloons, water guns, and colours, and unleash the colourful fury!

Day 9: Jaipur – Delhi 

Meals Included: Breakfast, Dinner

Today, transfer from Jaipur to Delhi (Approximately 5.5 hours’ drive). The rest of the day is yours to explore at your
leisure. There are plenty of sites you may have missed the first time around, like Humayun’s Tomb – a garden tomb
dating back to 1570 – or Qutb Minar, the highest tower in India.
This evening, enjoy a farewell dinner with your group.

Day 10: Delhi

Meals Included: Breakfast

Today, check out from your hotel at Delhi, and proceed to the airport for flight back home. There are no other
activities planned for the day.

Our accommodation will be an array of hotels carefully curated for this trip. We have carefully chosen the accommodation to maximise your experience on this bucket list trip.

*You will be sharing a room with another guest, in a room with twin beds, with an ensuite. Rooms will be allocated randomly, unless specified otherwise. Single supplement from £300pp.
