Outdoor Adventure Girls is an outdoor community providing safe and inclusive environments for women to reconnect with nature and the outdoors, through our local meetups, weekend getaways and international trips. We have 20,000+ members across our social platforms, located all across the UK.
Our founder Sophie is passionate about giving back, having spent 10 years working in the charity sector and now wants to incorporate this goodwill back in to Outdoor Adventure Girls.
In 2023 OAG will be looking to support one charity that supports women in a variety of ways. But we don’t want this decision to be made by us, we want your involvement.
UPDATE – Feb 2023
Thank you to everyone who voted in this year’s charity initiative vote. Our chosen charity of the year is Refuge. Refuge is the largest domestic abuse organisation in the UK.
We will be donating 50p from every sale we make on our website to Refuge in 2023.

UPDATE – Dec 2022
In December we asked you to submit your chosen charity and we received an abundance of recommendations. Thank you to everyone who submitted a charity, there was such a wide range and we would love to support them all.
BUT now it’s down to you to decide who we bring on as our official charity in 2023…
UPDATE – November 2022
We are looking for submissions over the next month from our members on who you want OAG to support in 2023.
We will be looking to raise money for the charity that is chosen in a variety of ways, including but not limited to:
- Donating a percentage of profits from each sale to the chosen charity
- Hosting challenge events for our members where we ask participants to raise money for our chosen charity
- Raising awareness of the chosen charities values, ethos and mission to our members

Submissions are open from 1 December – 24 December 2022. Once submissions close, OAG staff will whittle down to the most popular three charities based on submissions and then open it up to a public vote by OAG members from 3 January – 10 January 2023 and the chosen charity will be announced on 11 January 2023.
